MLB All-Star Game
8 pm/ET Fox
Expect cries of "Remember Philadelphia" from the National League dugout this evening in St. Louis as the NL attempt to get their first Classic victory since 1996 in the City of Brotherly Love. Of course, there was that 2002 matchup in Milwaukee that MLB execs chose to end in a tie, which failed to please fans in attendance and watching around the country. The criticism baseball took for that decision may have been the impetus to not cut short last year's 15-inning marathon that took 4 hours and 50 minutes — an All-Star record. — Dave Roeder

Miami Social

It's a Miami whammy in the cable net's newest unscripted effort, a character-propelled reality drama that tracks seven überhip Miami denizens as they work, party and network. Not all is sunny in the Sunshine State in the series premiere: George, a high-powered banker, catches his new gal pal in a big fib, so he turns to his ex-wife for comfort. In addition, Miami insider Michael and Russian knockout Maria deliver ruminations on Botox; and the gang receives shocking news about a marriage. — Dean Maurer

Rescue Me
10 pm/ET FX
The probie torch passes from Black Shawn to Damien, giving the guys hazing opportunities and broadening the producers' comic-relief options. Not to mention babe-in-the-burning-building danger options. It'll complicate Tommy's relationship with Sheila as well. And speaking of complicated relationships, Janet lays down the law to Tommy about theirs. (Call it a "postnup."). It's much more complicated than Sheila's one command: "Don't sleep with Janet the same day you sleep with me." — Paul Droesch

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
10 pm/ET NBC
Comedian Carol Burnett showed off her dramatic chops when she guest starred in this March repeat as Birdie Sulloway, a former dancer. Benson and Stabler arrive at Birdie's penthouse to question her because she owns a strip club where a murdered woman worked. Both Birdie and her doting nephew, Chet (Matthew Lillard), assist the detectives, but the focus of the investigation shifts when the prime suspect dies and the emergence of a vigilante comes to light. — Jennifer Sankowski
