The actor was 70, and had undergone quadruple heart bypass surgery earlier this year. Prior to getting shipwrecked with the Skipper and Professor et al, Denver gave beatniks a primetime face with his role of Maynard G. Krebs on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis.
