Dallas: We Never Wanted to Remake the Original
The series, which features Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray reprising their original roles alongside a new generation of Ewings, is the first of three new dramas debuting on the cable channel. It be joined by two crime dramas: Perception (premiering July 9, 10/9c), starring Eric McCormack as an eccentric neuroscience professor recruited by the FBI to help solve complex cases, and Major Crimes (premiering August 13, 10/9c), the Closer spin-off starring Mary McDonnell.Speaking of The Closer, the long-running series starring Kyra Sedgwick will end its run with a six-episode final season that premieres July 9 at 9/8c.Returning series Rizzoli & Isles, starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, moves to Tuesdays this summer beginning June 5 at 9/8c. It will followed by the season premiere of Franklin and Bash at 10/9c. The fifth season of Leverage is set to premiere on July 15 at 8/7, while Season 2 of the alien drama Falling Skies debuts on June 17 at 9/8c. The latter will be paired with The Great Escape (premiering June 24, 10/9c), a new reality show from the producers of The Amazing Race.
