It looks like Deja isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Lyric Ross, who plays Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) and Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) troubled foster daughter on This Is Us, has been upgraded to series regular for Season 3.

Deja's full-time status was hinted at in Season 2's penultimate episode when her birth mom decided to give up her parental rights, allowing Beth and Randall to pursue a permanent adoption. Deja didn't respond well to the news, however, as seen at Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby's (Chris Sullivan) wedding when she took a baseball bat to Randall's windshield. Now that she's sticking around for good, she'll have much to answer to in the upcoming season.

A flashforward in the Season 2 finale also raised major questions about Deja's future and whether or not her destroying Randall's car alluded to a difficult path ahead. The scene featured a much older Randall telling a grown-up Tess, "It's time to see her" but Tess isn't up to the task. It's unclear who Tess and Randall are referring to but that hasn't stopped fans of the show from coming up with their own theories. According to creator Dan Fogelman, that mystery will start to unravel in Season 3.

While the first two seasons centered on the mystery surrounding Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) death, the upcoming season will focus on his time spent overseas in the Vietnam War. This means we'll get to explore more of his past and the people in it including his brother Nicky who is believed to have died in the war. Nicky first appeared in flashbacks during Season 2 as a child and his death appears to have taken a huge toll on Jack. I'm Dying Up Here's Michael Angarano is set to play him as an adult in Season 3.

The new season will also see Melanie Liburd, who plays Kevin's (Justin Hartley) girlfriend Zoe, bumped to series regular. She and Kevin quickly hit it off at Toby and Kate's wedding and eventually become an item. A flash-forward in the Season 2 finale revealed that the two are still together sometime later when Kevin embarks on a trip to Vietnam to learn more about his father's experiences there while serving in the military.

This Is Us returns for Season 3 Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 9/8c on NBC.
