Here's Your First Look at Thora Birch as Gamma in The Walking Dead Season 10

Welcome the newest creepy Whisperer, everyone!

AMC has revealed the first images of Thora Birch as Gamma inThe Walking DeadSeason 10, and, yes, one of them shows her draped in a nasty skin suit like the rest of Alpha's (Samantha Morton) crew.

Another image of the character reveals her face, and she looks exactly as cheerful as you might expect from someone who cloaks herself in rotted flesh on a daily basis.

Gamma, a Whisperer sentry, is "fiercely protective of Alpha," according to AMC's official description. She's a firm believer in the Whisperers' way of life (and death).

Birch's casting was announced at The Walking Dead's San Diego Comic-Con panel, which also confirmed that Danai Gurira will be departing the series during Season 10 after seven years of swinging that signature samurai sword.

Birch isn't the only newcomer joining the fold in Season 10. Actor Kevin Carroll (The Leftovers) will be also be introduced this fall as Virgil, a survivor who meets our heroes during his desperate effort to return home to his family.

The Walking Dead Season 10 premieres Sunday, Oct. 6 at 9/8c on AMC.
