TNT Books July 12 for Return of The Closer, Rizzoli & Isles Premiere

The Closer will return in July and partner up with a new crime drama, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The sixth season of The Closer will debut Monday, July 12 at 9/8c, on TNT, followed by the premiere of Rizzoli & Isles.

Mary McDonnell to return to The Closer

Rizzoli & Isles stars Angie Harmon (Law & Order) and Sasha Alexander (NCIS) as a detective and medical examiner, respectively, who team up to solve cases. The series is one of two new shows debuting on TNT this summer, the other being Memphis Beat, starring Jason Lee.              

For TNT's sister station, TBS, July also signals the return of the original series My Boys. The comedy's fourth season will premiere Sunday, July 25 at 10/9c.
