The cast of Amazon Prime Video's R-rated superhero dramedy The Boys assembled at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday to drop some exciting news: The show has been renewed for a second season ahead of its Season 1 premiere.

Stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Elisabeth Shue, along with co-creators Seth Rogen and Eric Kripke were on hand for the big reveal during a panel moderated by Aisha Tyler.

But the early renewal news isn't the only news out of Comic-Con: The gang will head into its sophomore season with a new addition: You're the Worst's Aya Cash is joining the cast as the superhero Stormfront.

The Boys explores what happens when superheroes, who are treated like A-list celebrities, abuse their super-abilities instead of using them for the greater good. In an effort to hold these powerful beings -- known as the Seven -- accountable for their actions, a group of powerless vigilantes embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multi-billion dollar company that no only manages them but covers up all of their dirty deeds.

The Boys' eight-episode first season debuts on Amazon on Friday, July 26.
