Teen Mom Amber Portwood Charged with Domestic Violence

Teen Mom's Amber Portwood is facing domestic violence charges, TMZ reports.

The 20-year-old Portwood has been charged with two felony counts and one misdemeanor count for alleged attacks on Gary Shirley, 24, between August 2009 and July 2010.

In the Sept. 28 episode of Teen Mom, Portwood punched and screamed at her on-and-off fiancé. Leah, their 2-year-old daughter, was later placed in Shirley's care after authorities in Anderson, Ind., began a domestic abuse investigation.

The MTV reality star is taking medication to cope with anxiety and depression. Being away from Leah "is the lowest of the low," Portwood recently told US Weekly.

If convicted of all counts, Portwood may face three years in jail and fines up to $10,000.
