David Letterman's legal team is out to snuff a restraining order granted to Colleen Nester, who claims that the Late Show host has been sending out coded messages, which have caused her "mental cruelty" and "sleep deprivation" since May 1994. One of Letterman's lawyers, deeming the Santa Fe woman's claims "obviously absurd and frivolous," says the restraining order is "an unfortunate abuse of the judicial process." On Earth it is, sure.
