Sparks Fly on Farscape

Fans of Sci Fi Channel's Farscape take note: It looks like flyboy John Crichton (Ben Browder) and Peacekeeper Aeryn Sun (Claudia Black) might finally get their romance off the ground. "They'll get together," confirmed executive producer David Kemper at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, CA. But some sexual tension is expected to remain as sparks start flying in the upcoming story arc "Look at the Princess," three episodes that begin airing July 21 (9 pm/ET). Browder likes the fact that his character and Black's never quite get there. "The show itself is not about Crichton and Aeryn and their relationship," he said. "That's one particular aspect of the show. It's an aspect that I love. I think it's fantastic and you could throw me in a room with Claudia any day and I would be happy to act with her." Also on hand at TCA was Farscape's Virginia Hey, who told reporters she's so committed to her role as alien

Also on hand at TCA was Farscape's Virginia Hey, who told reporters she's so committed to her role as alien priestess Zhaan that she passed up the usual skin cap and actually shaved her head and eyebrows.

"The Zhaan character is such a svelte, aerodynamic-looking character that I think she needs to be hairless," she said. "She needs to have something about her that's nonhuman and I think having no hair and no eyebrows did the trick. It doesn't really bother me because the hair will grow back."
