Snoop Dogg wants his MTV, and MTV wants him too. The rapper has signed a multiplatform deal with the cable network that includes a trifecta of projects, ranging from TV to video games — and oh yeah, music too.
Starting Feb. 17 at 9 pm/ET, Snoop will host the seven-episode Dogg After Dark, a talk show featuring celebrity interviews, sketch comedy and musical performances. Dogg After Dark will be his second foray with MTV, following 2002's Doggy Fizzle Televizzle.
Snoop's new album, Malice in Wonderland, will be released by the music cabler as well. Snoop recently split with Geffen Records, his home for 10 years. Selected tunes from Malice and his past work will also be introduced on MTV's Rock Band franchise. Who doesn't want to fake a guitar riff on "Gin and Juice"?
