The network's provocative new drama The Affair will debut on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 10/9c, Showtime announced at the Television Critics Association's fall previews on Friday.
The Affair tells the story of Noah (Dominic West), a New Yorker spending the summer on Long Island with his family who begins an affair with Allison (Ruth Wilson), a woman who works at a pancake house. Allison is married to Cole (Joshua Jackson), a tough cowboy who manages a ranch, while Noah is married to Helen (Maura Tierney), his college sweetheart and best friend whose life is turned upside down by Noah's infidelity.
The Affair was written by In Treatment's Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, who will also executive-produce with Shameless' Mark Mylod and director Jeffrey Reiner.
