Scott Speedman Joins Ryan Murphy's HBO Pilot Open

Scott Speedman will star in Ryan Murphy's HBO pilot Open, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The drama is a modern exploration of sexuality and relationships. As first reported by Deadline, Speedman will play Jonathan, a sports marketing executive.

As previously announced, The Hunger Games' Wes Bentley will also star in the project, which is written and executive-produced by Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story) and Lauren Gussis (Dexter). Horror Story's Dante Di Loreto will also serve as an executive producer.

Best known for his breakout role on Felicity, Speedman most recently starred on ABC's short-lived drama Last Resort.
