Sam Rockwell, Michelle Williams, Lin-Manuel Miranda Team Up for FX Drama

FX has become a destination for prestige television, and its latest project is keeping that reputation well intact.

News broke today that FX has ordered an unnamed series from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail and Steven Levenson. The eight-part limited series will tell the story of the romantic and creative partnership between legendary Broadway choreographer Bob Fosse and stage actress Gwen Verdon, who will be played by Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams respectively. If that's not a powerhouse team of creators and talent, then nothing is.

"We are over the moon about this dream team we've assembled for this incredible series," said Nick Grad, President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions. "Tommy, Steven, and Lin are the perfect team to tell the story of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, and we're so thrilled to have Sam and Michelle playing these iconic roles."

Production will begin in the fall with series debut schedule for 2019.
