Nearly a month after Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes welcomed their first child on Sept. 12, the name of their new daughter has been revealed. The couple named their daughter Esmeralda Amada Gosling, TMZ.com reports.
As the site points out, Mendes played a character named Amada in the 2007 film We Own the Night. As for the first name Esmeralda, could it be a homage to the female heroine of The Hunchback of Notre Dame?
Gosling, 33, and Mendes, 40, have been dating since 2011, when they met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines.
