The drama opened Monday to 1.6 million viewers and a 0.6 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, making it the network's most-watched show in the timeslot since February 2012 and its best-rated show in the period since Gossip Girl's series finale in December 2012. Jane also improved on lead-in The Originals (1.3 million, 0.7) and was up 33 percent from Beauty and the Beast's performance in the slot a year ago.

NBC topped the night with The Voice (13 million, 3.9) and The Blacklist (9.8 million, 2.8), both of which grew two tenths. The Big Bang Theory (15.6 million, 4.6) was the top-rated show of the night, improving a tenth.
