A week after kicking off its fifth and final season against Game 7 of the World Series, Chuck spied a series low in the 18-to-49 demographic Friday, sliding 20 percent to a 0.8 rating. It was also down 10 percent in viewership with only 3.1 million viewers.

Its network-mate, Grimm, on the other hand, held up better, grabbing 5.92 million viewers and a 1.8 — the second-highest rating of the night. Dateline closed out NBC's night with 4.1 million and a 1.2 rating.Grimm went up against Fringe, which earned 3.3 million viewers and a 1.3 after getting preempted last week for the World Series. The episode, featuring the return of Peter (Joshua Jackson), was up 4 and 8 percent in the respective categories from the show's last fresh outing three weeks ago. Its lead-in, Kitchen Nightmares, scored 3.7 million eyeballs and a 1.5.

CBS won the night, led by Blue Bloods (12.56 million, 2.1), which was Friday's most-watched and highest-rated show. The network also topped the 8 o'clock and 9 o'clock hours with A Gifted Man (8.4 million, 1.2) and CSI: NY (9.6 million, 1.6), respectively.On ABC, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (5.2 million, 1.3) grew, while 20/20 (4.87 million, 1.1) slipped. The CW's Nikita (1.8 million, 0.6) was up slightly and Supernatural(1.7 million, 0.7) remained steady.
