Ratings: The 100 Opens Strong; Idol, More Hit Lows

The 100 got off to a good start for The CW.
The drama premiered Wednesday to 2.7 million viewers and a 0.9 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, posting The CW's best numbers in the time slot since September 2010. The 100 also built on lead-in Arrow (2.3 million, 0.8), which grew a tenth from last week.

American Idol (9.7 million, 2.2) dropped two tenths to hit a series low, as didSurvivor: Cagayan (9.6 million, 2.4), Criminal Minds (10.1 million, 2.2), Revolution (4.3 million, 1.2), Chicago P.D. (5.7 million, 1.4) and Mixology (3.6 million, 1.2).CSI (10.1 million, 2.0) was flat, while Law & Order: SVU (5.6 million, 1.5) dipped a tenth.  8 p.m.
