CSI alum William Petersen is set to star in and executive-produce the new drama series, Hurt People, which will mark his first regular series role since he left CSI in 2009. Deadline first reported the news.
The series is in development with GK-TV, a production company created by Camelot executive producers Graham King and Tim Headington.

Petersen will play Hollis Brown, a veteran hitman employed by the crime family that killed his wife. He's been hired to find his estranged daughter, who seeks to destroy whoever killed her mother.According to Deadline, Hurt People is targeting cable networks, in addition to Netflix, the Internet-streaming TV and video service that has been lining up original projects. Aside from his starring role as Dr. Gilbert "Gil" Grissom on CSI, whom he played for nine years, Petersen has appeared in 12 Angry Menandthe TV movie The Rat Pack.
