Battlestar Galactica alum Jamie Bamber has scored the lead role in the TNT medical drama Chelsea General. The pilot, from David E. Kelley, chronicles the professional and personal lives of five surgeons. Bamber will play Dr. Tyler, a vascular neurosurgeon who has a fling with his colleague (Jennifer Finnigan). The project is based is on Dr. Sanjay Gupta's upcoming book, Monday Mornings.

Meanwhile, Lost alum Ken Leung and stand-up comic Tig Notaro have joined the cast of Sarah Silverman's comedy pilot for NBC. Silverman stars as Susan Farrow, a singer/songwriter who gets out of a ten-year relationship and moves back to her old upscale Manhattan apartment building. Leung will play Gene, a homebody who spends most of his days on the couch and Notaro will play Beth Ann, a new friend for Susan who has a four-year-old daughter. Both characters live in Susan's building.
