Philip Seymour Hoffman's Official Cause of Death Released

Philip Seymour Hoffman died of accidental acute mixed drug intoxication, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Oscar-winning actor had heroin, cocaine, benzodiazepines and amphetamine in his system, the New York City medical examiner's office revealed Friday. The original autopsy results for the actor were found to be inconclusive.

Hoffman was found dead in a New York City apartment on Feb. 2 at the age of 46. After struggling with drug addiction early on, Hoffman was sober for 23 years until he relapsed in 2013. He entered a detox facility for heroin last spring.  

His funeral was held on Feb. 7, and is survived by his longtime partner, Mimi O'Donnell, and their three children, Cooper, Tallulah and Willa.
