PENN'S DEATH "AN ACCIDENT"
Chris Penn, who was found dead in his Santa Monica condo on Jan. 24, died from an enlarged heart and the effects of a mix of multiple medications — including promethazine with codeine, a highly addictive antihistamine. "There is absolutely no indication that this is anything but an accident," the county coroner's chief investigator reported on Monday. "We don't know how much he ingested or when. There are a lot of 'what ifs' to be factored" into the full coroner's report, which will be available in a few weeks.
