Has NBC pulled the plug on The Paul Reiser Showafter airing only two episodes?

According to The Futon Critic, NBC axed the freshman comedy Friday and will be replacing it with repeat episodes of The Office beginning April 28 at 8:30/7:30c.

NBC announces Paul Reiser Show; replacing Perfect Couples

The report comes a day after the sitcom, from former Mad About You star Reiser, drew just 2.3 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.

Ironically, The Paul Reiser Show was allotted a slot on the Thursday night schedule to replace another struggling freshman comedy — Perfect Couples.

The Paul Reiser Show, Reiser's first TV series since his seven-year stint on Mad About You, features Reiser playing a fictional version of himself on the search for his next career move after years away from the small screen. The show also stars Amy Landecker, Andy Daly, Ben Shenkmen, Duane Martin and Omid Djalili.

When reached for comment, NBC could not confirm the report.
