Parenthood Books Friday Night Lights Alum for Recurring Role

Parenthood has booked Friday Night Lights alum Jurnee Smollett for a recurring role, TVLine reports. Smollett will play a smart and feisty woman named Heather whom Kristina (Monica Potter) hires as her campaign manager when she decides to run for office. The arc will reunite Smollett with her FNL producer Jason Katims, as well as Matt Lauria with whom she worked on the show's final two seasons.
