Oprah finale episode to air May 25
The steep price tag is nearly unheard of for daytime programs, as the audience is smaller, but buyers will likely pay even more depending on placement within the May 25 show, says Horizon's Brad Adgate. The staggering sum will be the highest since Everybody Loves Raymondasked for $1.2 million for its series finale in 2005. It will also trump the finale asking prices of Lost ($900,000) and 24 ($650,000), both of which bid adieu last year.Though Winfrey's cool mil is pricey, it still doesn't beat Friends, which fetched nearly $2 million for its 2004 finale.
