Once Upon a Time Scoop: A Deadwood Alum Is Coming to Town

Brad Dourif will guest-star on ABC's new fairy tale drama Once Upon a Time, TVGuide.com has learned.

The Deadwoodalum, who most recently appeared on the Season 3 finale of Fringe, will play a beggar who befriends the evil Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle).

Executive-produced by Lost's Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, the upcoming seriestells the story of the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) casting a spell upon classic fairy tale characters who live in Storybrooke, Maine, and don't know their own true identities. Among them is Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), whose daughter Emma (Jennifer Morrison) may be the key to rescuing the town.

Once Upon a Time premieres Sunday, Oct. 23 at 8/7c on ABC.
