Nikki Blonsky's Father Released on Bail

Nikki Blonsky's dad, Carl, was released from jail Monday morning, Entertainment Tonight reports.Blonsky had been locked up following a July 30 airport scuffle he and the Hairspray star engaged in with America's Next Top Model's Bianca Golden and her mother over waiting area seats at Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos. Currently facing charges of inflicting grevious bodily harm, the elder Blonsky wasnitially denied bail, but was Hairspray star's freed after the Chief Justice awarded him a $3,000 bail on his behalf.Blonsky, who must remain on the island as his travel papers are in police custody, is due to appear in court on Aug. 19.His Golden Globe-nominated 19-year-old daughter was charged with assault and has already been released on $6,000 bail. She is due back in court in December, while Golden, 19, also free on bail, returns to court Sept. 16 to face her assault charges. — Joyce Eng
