NBC Buys Comedy From Former CSI Actress

NBC bought a half-hour comedy created and written by former CSI actress Liz Vassey, Deadline reports. Four Play follows an unlikely family raising a newly adopted child. Todd Holland and Karey Burke's Dark Toy Entertainment, Flody Suarez and Universal TV will produce.

In another deal, ABC purchased the comedy The Cult of Mac from Australian writer Tony McNamara. The project revolves around Ted Macfadden, who travels back to his childhood in 1987 Chicago to gain parenting perspective for his current San Francisco family.
