CBS Pushes Mom's Premiere Back, Doubles Up on Big Bang Theory

Fans of CBS' Mom will have to wait a bit longer for the show to return for its sophomore season, but The Millers will kick off Season 2 sooner than expected.

The network has moved Mom to Thursday nights temporarily, and pushed the Season 2 premiere back to Oct. 30. (It was originally scheduled to premiere on Monday, Sept. 29.) In addition, The Millers season premiere has been moved up to Monday, Oct. 20 at 8:30/7:30c. (It was originally scheduled to premiere on Thursday, Oct. 30.)

For the next three weeks, as it did this week, CBS will double up on The Big Bang Theoryon Monday nights, showing back-to-back episodes (the first an original; the second a rerun) beginning at 8/7c.

CBS' new Thursday lineup, which will launch on Oct. 30 following its coverage of Thursday Night Football, is as follows: The Big Bang Theory (8/7c); Mom (8:30/7:30c); Two and a Half Men (9/8c); The McCarthys (9:30/8:30c); Elementary (10/9c).

But wait! It doesn't end there. Mom will return to Monday nights at 8:30/7:30c beginning Jan. 5; The Millers will return to Thursday nights at 8:30/7:30c on Jan. 8.

Mom:
Premieres: Thursday, Oct. 30, 8:30/7:30c
Oct. 30 to Jan. 5: airs Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c
Starting Jan. 5: airs Mondays at 8:30/7:30c

The Big Bang Theory:
Sept. 29 to Oct. 13: airs back-to-back episodes on Mondays at 8/7c (new) and 8:30/7:30c (rerun)

Starting Oct. 30: airs Thursdays at 8/7c

The Millers:
