Bridesmaids' Wendi McLendon-Covey to Guest-Star on Modern Family

Bridesmaids' Wendi McLendon-Covey has landed a guest-starring role on Modern Family, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, McLendon-Covey will play one-half of a lesbian couple whose son gets into a fight with Cam and Mitchell's daughter Lily on the first day of kindergarten. Saturday Night Livealum Michaela Watkins plays the other half.

McLendon-Covey, whose other credits include Reno 911!and Rules of Engagement, will appear in the third episode of the new season, which premieres Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c on ABC.
