Mike Birbiglia to Recur on Orange Is the New Black

Mike Birbiglia has landed a recurring role on Orange Is the New Black, according to the The Hollywood Reporter.

Details on the comedian's character are being kept tightly under wraps for now. He joins other Orange newbies Mary Steenburgen and Blair Brown for the third season of the Netflix series.

Though known for his stand-up, Birbiglia has been expanding to acting in recent years, appearing in The Fault in Our Stars, Annie and Sleepwalk With Me, an adaptation of the one-man off-Broadway show he he directed in 2012.

Season 3 of Orange Is the New Black will premiere next year.
