Saturday Night Live returns for its 42nd season Oct. 1, with Margot Robbie as guest host and The Weeknd supplying the tunes, NBC announced Thursday.

Kate McKinnon wins Saturday Night Live's first Emmy in a major acting category.

Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, will flaunt her comedic chops as The Weeknd will rock out -- likely with new tunes from his upcoming album, "Starboy" due November 25.

Saturday Night Live returns Saturday Oct. 1 at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
