Lorena Bobbitt Opens Up About Cutting Off Her Husband's Penis on Steve Harvey

Lorena Bobbitt, the woman who's best known for chopping off her husband's penis in 1993, opened up about the incident on Monday's Steve Harvey.

"My story actually has humor, but also, we shine the light on domestic violence as well," Bobbitt told Steve Harvey.

Bobbitt, 46, cut off her then-husband John Bobbitt's penis with a kitchen knife while he slept. She later claimed she had suffered years of infidelity and abuse at the hands of John and was eventually acquitted on the grounds of temporary insanity.

Surgeons were able to reattach John's penis, and the dismemberment didn't stop John from attempting to contact Bobbitt multiple times in the 20 years since. "He tried, but I always deleted his number," she said.

Bobbitt is now remarried and lives with her second husband Dave Bellinger and their daughter Olivia, 10. She added that Bellinger never brings up what happened to her first husband.
