TBS Cancels Lopez Tonight
TBS has canceled Lopez Tonight."TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of Lopez Tonight," the network said Wednesday in a statement. Hosted by George Lopez, the late-night show was panned when it started in 2009, but scored decent ratings in the 11 p.m. hour for TBS. Lopez famously turned over the time slot to Conan O'Brien last year — pushing Lopez Tonight to midnight — even calling O'Brien to persuade him to join the network as his lead-in. Since the slot bump, ratings have dropped significantly; the show most recently nabbed 0.2 demo rating and fewer than 500,000 viewers.
