First Look: One Hot Reunion

Valerie Bertinelli once again shares the screen with Bonnie Franklin — who played mom Ann to Bertinelli's Barbara on One Day at a Time — on the January 26 episode of TV Land's Hot in Cleveland.
Franklin plays the mother of Melanie's boyfriend, Pete. "She takes an immediate dislike to [Bertinelli's] Melanie," says creator Suzanne Martin. But off camera things were much happier. "It was a dream come true, because I haven't worked with Bonnie in over 20 years," Bertinelli tells TV Guide Magazine. "I must say I was a little nervous. I wanted her to have a really special, good time."
Now Bertinelli is trying to get Pat Harrington Jr. and Mackenzie Phillips (One Day's Schneider and Julie) to Cleveland. "We just have to find them the right roles," says Martin. In other words, they're taking it one day at a time.
