Linsey "Jade" Berardi of Bad Girls Club Dies at 22

Oxygen released a statement Friday confirming the death of the former reality actress.

Linsey "Jade" Berardi, a former member of Oxygen's reality series Bad Girls Club, has died.

The network released a statement on Friday, confirming rumors that Berardi, who appeared on an episode of the reality show in 2014, died at the age of 22.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Linsey 'Jade' Berardi. ... Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts go out to her family, friends and fans," Oxygen said in their statement.

No details have been released as to the cause of her death. Her family has requested that in lieu of flowers, people make donations to an animal shelter.

"Linsey was a lifetime animal lover and passionate advocate," Oxygen said.

Berardi went by the nickname "Brooklyn Brat" on Season 12 of the show, though she left after a physical altercation with another member.
