JUST DESSERTS?

Martha Stewart doesn't think appearing on CBS's The Early Show is a good thing anymore. The embattled domestic diva — who was scheduled to appear on Wednesday's show to discuss ice box desserts — backed out after being told she would be grilled about her escalating stock scandal. Stewart is no doubt still smarting from last week's Early Show appearance, in which host Jane Clayson asked her questions about the insider trading controversy in the midst of a salad segment. "I want to focus on my salad," she said, "because that's why we're here." Those days are over, darling.
