A Pennsylvania judge ordered Jon Gosselin to return $180,000 he removed from his and Kate's joint bank account in violation of an arbitrator's order, according to her lawyer.
Judge Arthur R. Tilson said at a Tuesday hearing that Gosselin must repay the amount by Oct. 26, the couple's next hearing, or be held in contempt, Mark Momjian said.
Kate Gosselin has claimed her estranged husband drained their account of $230,000, leaving her unable to pay her bills.

Kate: I can't pay my bills

The remaining $55,000, which Kate Gosselin used to pay bills and expenses related to the couple's eight children, "will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date," Momjian said."All of the attorneys on both sides worked very hard," Jon Gosselin's lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, said. "We were very pleased with the outcome of the court proceedings and the arbitration session and we are very hopeful that there will soon be a resolution."Tilson also ordered Kate Gosselin to provide an accounting of past expenses by Oct. 26.

Jon Gosselin: I only withdrew $22,000

"As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children," she said in a statement. "Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues."
