Johnny Depp Surprises Student Dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow

Johnny Depp surprised a London school when he showed up to an assembly dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, the character he plays in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Nine-year-old student Beatric Delap recently wrote a letter to Depp's character Sparrow pleading for help in a mutiny against her teachers.

Johnny Depp surprised a London school when he showed up to an assembly dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, the character he plays in the Pirates of the Caribbeanfranchise.

Nine-year-old student Beatric Delap recently wrote a letter to Depp's character Sparrow pleading for help in a mutiny against her teachers.

"We are a bunch of budding young pirates," she wrote. "We'd love it if you could come and help."

Her wish came true when Depp and four other castmates, who happened to be filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tidesnearby, went to the school with her letter in hand. There they performed pirate songs and dances for the student body.

Delap later told London Tonight that she probably should abandon her mutiny now. When asked if she could be a pirate, she responded, "Maybe, I sail."
