John Oliver and the rest of the Last Week Tonight crew are calling Donald Trump a yooge liar.
On Saturday, Trump tweeted that he had turned down an invitation to be on the "very boring and low rated show" because it would be a "waste of time and energy."
.@thehill John Oliver had his people call to ask me to be on his very boring and low rated show. I said "NO THANKS" Waste of time & energy!
The show issued a response Sunday via its official Twitter handle, saying that Trump was never invited to be a guest on the show in the first place. Whoops!
A couple of points...
1. Yes, we have a boring show.
2. At no point did we invite Donald Trump to appear on it.

Trump's original tweet was in response to comments Oliver made about him on Friday's episode of CBS This Morning. During his interview, Oliver described the GOP presidential candidate as "an open book that ... doesn't have that many interesting words in it."
