True Blood's Joe Manganiello to Return to How I Met Your Mother

Joe Manganiello is returning to How I Met Your Mother.

"#HIMYM CASTING NEWS! @joemanganiello is coming back as Brad in the 7th and 8th episode this year. And yes, he will have his shirt off!" CBS tweeted Wednesday. TVLine first reported the casting news.

TheTrue Blood star's casting was first hinted at by co-creator Craig Thomas earlier this week. "There are a couple of characters we're hoping to bring back for an episode or an arc," he recently told TVGuide.com.

Manganiello will reprise his role as Marshal's law school buddy Brad who also went on a date with Robin.  He was previously seen on Season 5.
