The singer, 64, crashed off the stage after wrapping up an encore and remained on the floor in front of the first row waiting for paramedics to arrive, according to the Australian newspaper. He was taken to Sydney's St. Vincent's Hospital with a head injury.
An e-mail to Buffet's rep was not immediately returned, but TMZ reports that the singer is in stable condition and will remain in the hospital for observation.
