Jeremy Sisto is leaving the Stepford Wives of Chatswin for the mysterious undead of a different small town. The former Suburgatory star has joined the cast of A&E's The Returned, an American adaptation of theFrench zombie drama and International Emmy Award winner, according to Deadline.
The series follows what happens when the dead return to life and seek out their friends to family. Sisto will play Peter, a grief counselor who's helping family members cope with the loss of loved ones in a fatal bus crash. Lost's Carlton Cuse is on board to executive-produce, and the cast already includes Mark Pellegrino and Kevin Alejandro.

SundanceTV has the broadcast rights to the original French series, which has earned critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. Sisto's character Peter was known as Pierre in the original series.
