An autopsy has revealed that Jeff Conaway's death was accidental and caused by a major internal infection, the coroner told The Associated Press.
Grease actor Jeff Conaway dies at 60
Los Angeles County coroner Craig Harvey told the AP that a toxicology test was not conducted because Conaway had been hospitalized for weeks leading up to his death and his blood would've come back clean. However, Harvey did note that the actor's blood contained traces of opiates and other drugs when he was originally admitted to the hospital.

Conaway died at the age of 60 on May 27, 2011. The actor, who was best known for playing Kenicke in Greaseand his role on the TV series Taxi, continually struggled with addiction, some of which was documented on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
