Jay Baruchel Announces Engagement

Jay Baruchel is engaged.

While being honored at the Genie Awards on Thursday, the Tropic Thunderactor thanked his fiancée. He later confirmed to The Toronto Star that he proposed to Alison Pill (Scott Pilgrim) over the holidays.

"I'm pretty sure my words were 'f--- it; do you want to marry me?' to which she said, 'yes, of course,'" Baruchel said.

The couple, who began dating during the filming of the hockey movie Goon, will marry in 2012.
