Jason Sudeikis Batters Up for Eastbound & Down

Kenny Powers has a new friend in Jason Sudeikis.

The Saturday Night Live cast member has signed on for a recurring role on the third and final season of Eastbound & Down, Variety reports.

Sudeikis, 35, will play Shane, a new friend of ex-MLB pitcher Powers (Danny McBride). In early casting breakdowns for the role, Shane is described as a gullible and enthusiastic baseball player.

Following the Season 2 finale, Season 3 will see Powers return to his hometown of Shelby, N.C. after a stint playing south of the border.

Sudeikis can currently be seen on the big screen in Horrible Bosses.
