Wolk would play Andrew Pierce, a sophisticated Yale graduate who is the youngest presidential speech writer on record — not unlike President Obama's real-life young speech writer Jon Favreau. Wolk's Pierce starts off writing for a Democratic president, but mulls working for a Republican when he feels his administration's tendency to compromise has eroded its promise. It's been a good week for Lone Star alums. Wolk's casting comes days after his Lone Star wife, Adrianne Palicki, was tapped to play Wonder Woman on NBC's reboot.
