Jameela Jamil Laughs Off E! Red Carpet Error During Golden Globes
The Good Place star was misidentified on the red carpet as another character from the show
A chyron during E!'s Golden Globes red carpet coverage misidentified The Good Place star Jameela Jamil as "Kamilah Al-Jamil," which isn't even the character she plays on The Good Place. Jamil plays Tahani Al-Jamil. Kamilah Al-Jamil is Tahani's sister, played by Rebecca Hazelwood.
What even happened? While viewers online were initially divided over whether the reference was a joke, E! reporter Nina Parker later admitted to the mistake during a red carpet wrap-up. "Jameela Jamil, we know your name, girl... It's live, it happens!" she said.
