Jada Pinkett Smith has found her next role in a dark and mysterious legal drama for ABC.

The Gotham alum will be starring in the pilot of Murder Town, as Wilmington, Del.,'s first African American District Attorney, Varietyreports. While dealing with a headline-making case that triggers racial tension in her city, she's forced to face a crushing truth about her murdered husband.

Murder Town is written by Castle writer Barry Schindel, based on an original script from Rob Fresco. Pinkett Smith will also be executive-producing the pilot with Schindel.
