Heroes star signs on to USA series

The actor has joined the Hallmark movie Rock the House, in which he'll play a father whose strained relationship with his daughter (Cassi Thomson, Big Love) begins to improve through rock 'n' roll.

The movie, which has begun production, is scheduled to air next year.

Coleman is best known as Noah Bennet (aka Horn-Rimmed Glasses or HRG) on Heroes, the father of indestructible teen Claire (Hayden Panettiere).
